A group of University of Nebraska - Lincoln faculty members, most from the Department of Engineering, and several UNL Extension and Rural Prosperity Nebraska representatives visited in Niobrara on May 29. George Hunt, one of the UNL instructors would like to do a capstone project with his civil engineering students related to uses for the sand here at Niobrara and possible relocation of the sewer lagoons as sedimentation continues. The faculty members were taken on a walking tour of Niobrara and then met at Niobrara State Park for a panel discussion. Read more in this week's edition.
