This week is National EMS Week and this year’s theme is” This is EMS: Caring for Our Communities.” EMS Week is a time to thank paramedics, EMTs, and EMS workforce for their service and sacrifices. It also serves as an opportunity for EMS to raise public awareness about the role of EMS in the Community. The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians partners with the American College of Emergency Physicians for the annual event, which was authorized in 1974 by President Gerald Ford.
