Santee EMS hosted KARA training

Santee EMS hosted KARA (Knox Area Rescue Association) training at the Ohiya Casino on Monday, August 22. The topic was "High Impact Mechanism of Injury.” Scott Brown, BSN, RN-CEN presented the training. He is the Trauma Outreach Coordinator for CUMC Bergan Mercy in Omaha, NE. Part of his job is traveling throughout the region providing trauma education to hospitals and EMS services. Between 40-50 EMS personnel from area squads attended to earn required continuing education hours.
