“Lion, Witch & Wardrobe” is this year’s One Act

Crofton’s One-Act play, “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe”, took first place in the Lutheran High Northeast competition on Saturday, November 11.

The play received a total rating of 169 from the judges. “I felt really good traveling with the team and showcasing our production for the first time for the public,” Holly Wortmann, the One-Act Director, stated after their performance.

Many of Crofton's actors and actresses received acting awards, including senior Kaylee Mauch, senior Nolan Babcock, junior Rylie Arens, senior Edison Sudbeck, senior Elizabeth Wortmann, sophomore Katie Neuharth, and junior Jack Schieffer.

When asked how it felt to win an acting award, Jack Schieffer stated, “It’s pretty neat to be recognized for what I’m trying to do.”

Their next performance was the Mid-State Conference competition at the Johnny Carson Theater in Norfolk on Tuesday, November 14, and the group will be holding a local dinner theatre on Nov. 19 with details elsewhere in this edition.
