Since opening, the Cottonwood Village opened in 1979 facilities have undergone very few changes.
In recent months, many updates have been undertaken starting with the board. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Deb Kube stepped into the Director position at the facility. Laura Crosley took on the Chairman seat. Neil Pearson and Betty Hamilton have also joined the board. Hamilton also works for the NE Works program at the facility, assisting with paperwork and other facility needs. Rick Truman was hired as fulltime maintenance.
Cottonwood Villa opened in 1979. The facility includes six buildings with 4 units in each. There is also a community room for residents to gather and onsite laundry. Cottonwood Villa offers low-income housing subsidized by Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for disabled and elderly persons. The facility also provides housing on request for victims of domestic violence. Not all residents qualify for subsidized rent. The base market rent is currently $429 per month.
