In their final week before the holiday moratorium, the Crofton/Bloomfield Warrior boys and girls wrestling teams got to work as they competed in a total of two invites and one dual tournament.
Most recently, the Crofton/Bloomfield boys travelled to Boone Central on Saturday, Dec. 20 for the Boone Central Duals Tournament, where they battled Gretna East, Boone Central, Crete, Minden, and Conestoga.
When all was said and done, the Crofton/Bloomfield Warriors took home fifth place after multiple close losses and a dominant 48.0-12.0 win over Conestoga.
While the boys were fighting their way through duals on Saturday, Dec. 20, the Lady Warriors took a trip to Pierce for the Pierce Bluejays Girls Wrestling Invite, where they took on wrestlers from 20 other teams.
At the end of the day, the Lady Warriors managed to accumulate 57.5 team points, which landed them in 13th place.
Leading the way for the Lady Warriors were Raegin Rahn, Madison Nelson, and Bethany Arens, who took home the team’s only individual medals.
Prior to their journey to Pierce, the Lady Warriors once again hit the road to compete in the Elgin Public/Pope John (EPPJ) Invite in Elgin on Friday, Dec. 19.
In another large invite that featured more than 20 other teams from across the state, the ladies of Crofton/Bloomfield managed to find success.
With a total of 77.0 team points scored, the Lady Warriors captured sixth place amongst their peers.
Leading the way for the Lady Warriors at the EPPJ Invite were Rahn, Arens, Charlee McGargill, and Nelson, who each brought home individual medals for their efforts.
Nelson took home second place in the 110-pound bracket, McGargill placed fourth in the 135-pound bracket, Rahn earned third in the 235-pound bracket, and Arens took home first place in the 145-pound bracket for the team’s lone gold medal of the week.
Looking ahead, both the boys’ and girls’ teams will now have a well-deserved break before they’re back in action for the new year.
Up next for the Lady Warriors will be the Norm Manstedt Girls Invitational at Columbus Fieldhouse in Columbus on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, while the boys will resume their regular-season schedule with the St. Paul Dual Meet in St. Paul on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026.
