It was a busy Friday at Okie Blanchard Invite at East High School, but for one student athlete it was very successful.

Kelly Walsh Track & Field's, Tristyn Buss, is our Prep Athlete of the Week.

In the four events that Buss took part in she took the top spot. The 100 and 300 Meter Hurdles, the triple jump, and the 4X100 Meter Relay.

Here are those results.

100 M Hurdles: 15.07 seconds

300 M Hurdles: 46.83 seconds

Triple Jump: 37'' 10.5'

Tristyn's relay team beat the next best time by over three seconds.

"I love my team," Buss said. "I love working for my team. My coaches are all so supportive of me and I feel like if I show myself while I'm at meet, I think it just shows the commitment that I give to my team and my coaches. It's worth all the work that I'm putting into it."

Tristyn's efforts helped push the Lady Trojans to a second place finish as a team, just three points behind first place.

"I think a lot of it was everybody wanted a T-shirt at that meet. I think we're all working really hard and I think that being able to do something like that, I feel it really shows my coaches how committed I am to the team.”
