Wakefield Jr./Sr. High School FCCLA members Sawyer Brudigam and Mayte Flores will be competing at the Nebraska State FCCLA in April for their project based on their recent “Winter Coat Drive.”
Recently competing at the FCCLA District 7 STAR Event on Jan. 24 at Wayne State College, the duo won in the STAR Event Management Level 2 category.
“Sawyer and Mayte held a coat drive for the community and students at Wakefield. I am very proud of them for organizing and carrying out this project,” said Michelle Galles, Family & Consumer Science High School teacher.
According to Galles, all coat donations are currently at Wakefield Community School and students have the first opportunity for selection.
