Nashville musician, Daryl Mosely, will be performing at the Niobrara/Verdel Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. This will serve as the Community Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service.

VFW Post 4834 Commander, Don Hanzlik, announced the winners of the Americanism essay contest, during the Veterans Day Program at school Tuesday. The winners were, Delani Runnels, left, and Addison Peed, right.

The Niobrara Tribune started a new "Pastor's Corner" column this week, inspired by Delores Ruzicka of Verdigre, who serves on a rotational basis at Faiths United Parish in Niobrara. Ruzicka wrote the first column which appears in this week's edition.

Delani Runnels competed in the 46th girls' edition, state Cross Country Meet at the Kearney Country Club in Kearney on Oct. 24. This is the third year in a row she has competed at the meet. Homecoming Week , which started with Coronation on Sunday, Sept. 7, is progressing. The Varsity football game with Walthill has been cancelled for Friday night. Walthill had players with injuries who were not cleared to play on Friday. The Homecoming Parade is at 4 p.m. Friday in Verdigre. The Homecoming Dance time has moved to 7:30 p.m. Friday.
