It is the start of the 2025-2026 bowling season for the Plainview Pirates, and this year we are coop’d with Osmond.
This is a great for each town as it helps grow the sport and now both teams, girls and boys, will have a full team with a sub if needed. Since the Pirates were practicing and hosting home duels at the Main Street Alley in Osmond, it just makes sense.

A downtown Plainview mural received a coating in the last few weeks, with the Plainview-Brunswick Community Fund making a change in the community, funding the repainting of the side of Keystone Bar.
A mural, painted by Wendi Bantam of Lincoln, had been painted on the west side of Keystone Bar in the spring of 2010 at the efforts of the Plainview Development Company and the Plainview Community Club.
After 15 years in the community, the PBCF received permission from the Keystone Bar’s owner, Sherry Ristow, to cover the mural and make plans for a new decoration in the downtown location.
More will be reported as it becomes known.
